The Mini E is by no means a finished car; it is in fact a prototype which BMW has decided they will rush forward by letting motorists do the real-world testing. I appreciate the logic in this, but I’m still far from convinced that EVs are the way forward. Mini E Hits Europe

Lewis Hamilton has seemed unassailable in recent races, and the deficit he had in the Drivers Championship has turned in to a small lead over team mate Nico Rosberg. In fact, Hamilton won the race in style, leading from start to finish after Nico Rosberg attempted an overtake at the first corner, went in too deep and locked up and had to pit for new tyres – effectively gifting Hamilton the race almost before it started.
All-new British sports car brand David Brown Automotive has revealed its first production GT car, the Speedback, prior to its world debut at the Top Marques Monaco event in April. The new Speedback is based on the Jaguar XKR and uses its supercharged 5.0-litre V8 motor to produce over 500hp. It’s been 18 months in development and has been engineered in Coventry – and will use hand-crafted bodywork produced in the automotive city, too.
